Here are some examples of my work as a reporter with the Voice of America. I have produced in-depth reports on front-page topics like President Donald Trump’s trip to the G20 in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2018, the 2017 and 2018 Super Bowls, the 2016 presidential primaries, the Iran Nuclear P5+1 Deal in Vienna, Austria in 2015, and the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. Additionally, I also have plenty of experience turning around day-of spot news on a wide variety of topics.
My primary responsibility is video editing for Plugged In With Greta Van Susteren, a weekly show by the Voice of America which examines various aspects of United Sates policy by interviewing policy makers and opinion shapers. Our team has interviewed President Donald Trump twice, as well as Vice President Mike Pence, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and others members of the cabinet. Greta has also sat down with numerous Democratic and Republican senators and members of Congress.
Currently, I am editing on Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2018. I started as a professional on Final Cut Pro 6/7, switched to Final Cut Pro X, and made the full transition to Premiere Pro and the full suite of Adobe Creative Cloud products in 2015.
In addition to my own reports, an additional responsibility at VOA is to assemble video and web reports for our domestic reporters, as well as editing packages from international correspondents in places like Beijing, Johannesburg, and Moscow.
